Improve Health with Lovemaking Furniture

love makingOctober 18, 2009 -- Many people notice the mood-boosting effects of sex, but they may not realize all the health benefits it can provide as well. Though you do not normally think of improving your health when you are in the moment, lovemaking can actually be very beneficial to your physical and emotional well-being in a variety of ways.

These health benefits show why it can be important to have an active and healthy life:

Boosts Immunity

Those who have lovemaking once or twice a week are shown to have higher levels of the antibody immunoglobulin A (IgA), which helps ward off colds and other infections. Scientists at Wilkes University located in Wilkes-Barre, PA, further proved this by taking samples of saliva, which contain the antibody, from over 100 students who reported the frequency of which they had sex. Those who said they had lovemaking once or twice a week were shown to have higher levels of IgA compared to those who reported doing it less than once a week or not at all, as well as those who said they did it three or more times a week.

Relieves Stress

Lovemaking has been shown to reduce stress levels and lower blood pressure. A recent survey showed that people who reported having more frequent lovemaking were happier and were able to handle stress better than those who did not do lovemaking as frequently. A study in Scotland also revealed that participants who had lovemaking had better responses to stress and had lower diastolic blood pressure than those who more often engaged in other alternative lovemaking activities or were abstinent.

sleep betterSleep Better

The wave of calmness that you feel right after an orgasm is due to the hormone, oxytocin. This hormone can also help you sleep better throughout the night, as well as feel more refreshed throughout the day.

A good night's sleep is very important to one's health as it is linked to lower blood pressure, improved mood, and many other health benefits.

Burns Calories

Sex can burn up to 150 calories every 30 minutes, which add up depending how frequently you have it, how rigorous it is, and how long it lasts. Frequent lovemaking can be a great form of exercise, both physically and mentally, as it takes some mental "work" to do it right as well. Plus, not as many people say that they don't feel like making love as they say they don't feel like going to the gym.

Reduces Pain

As the hormone oxytocin surges, more endorphins are also released, which help to decrease pain. One study showed that participants who inhaled oxytocin vapor and afterward had their fingers pricked had a lower pain threshold of over one half.

Now headaches and PMS-related symptoms can be a reason to make love and no longer an excuse not to.

Boosts Self Esteem

The major reason people make love is to feel good, but it can also help them feel better about themselves. Lovemaking that is loving and is how you want it is shown to boost your confidence and self esteem. Although lovemaking is best when you already have high self esteem, doing it raises your confidence even more.

Improves Cardiovascular Health

A study found that having lovemaking at least twice a week reduced the risk of a fatal heart attack in the male participants by half compared to those who had lovemaking less than once a month. This may ease the worries of some of the elderly who believe that all the effort and exertion that is involved during lovemaking can increase the chances of having a heart attack or stroke, as it was also shown that sex is not associated with strokes in the same men that were followed for 20 years.

A good love life can be excellent for physical and psychological health. To help improve intimacy and make it more enjoyable, you can also try adding in love furniture. The Little Deeper is a lovemaking cushion that is anatomically designed to lift your hips and place them in the perfect position, allowing for easier and deeper penetration and enhancing pleasure.
